2. La Liga: Wacker Innsbruck beat Rapid 2 in the last minute – football

In the 26th round of the Second Admiral League, FC Wacker Innsbruck defeated Rapid 2–1.

After a goalless first half, in which both teams could find chances, Wacker fans caused excitement after the start of the second half. Smoke bombs and fireworks are used in the fan sector in Innsbruck, and the referee interrupts the match for several minutes due to poor visibility on the field.

In the 55th minute, the guests deserved to take the lead through Rene Keriouac. Wacker goalkeeper Eckmayr can only clear a header after a quick corner kick, but Kriwak can clear the rebounding ball into the goal.

After that, the Tyroleans got stronger, but the equalizer for the host was more than controversial.

Velimirovic hits a candle in his team’s penalty area, fast goalkeeper Orgler jumps towards the ball with outstretched arms to catch it in the five area. Ronivaldo jumps towards the guest goalkeeper, who directs the ball into his team’s goal (78).

Rapidler rightly protested the wrong play, but referee Rysuskov surprisingly accepted the goal.

The Innsbrucker team continues to set the pace, and Bertacchini misses a huge opportunity in the final stage (88th place). At the end of stoppage time, the Tyrolean tackled the young iceberg of Hoteldorfer: Marko Holz triumphed in the penalty area against Velimirovic and scored the late winning goal for the Tyroleans (90 + 8).

Wacker Innsbruck and Rapid II remain table neighbors. The Tyroleans are ninth with 36 points, while Hütteldorfer is tenth with seven points.
