30 Years of Hortichon Antique Tractor Gathering: “Old Love Never Rusts”.

Classic car enthusiasts were thrilled! The two-day vintage tractor meet in Horitchon attracted many tractor lovers and technology enthusiasts from the region and beyond, who presented their historical treasures and competed in various competitions.

Impressive challenges

Horitchon. Saturday started with the arrival of participants, which took place from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The excitement and anticipation was palpable as the first tractors arrived on site. The skills competition began at 4:00 pm, where participants were able to show off their skills in handling heavy machinery. Things were particularly exciting in the women’s competition, which also started at 4:00 pm. Participants mastered the challenges with flying colors and wowed the audience with their skills.

The long awaited classic car meeting

Sunday was all about the big classic car meet. The amazing vehicle display started at 1:30 p.m. The large number of lovingly cared for and restored tractors, from historic models to rare ones, caught the attention of visitors. Each participant received a certificate and an exclusive gift in recognition of their efforts and passion in keeping these old machines alive.

As every year, the 30th anniversary of the Horitchon Vintage Tractors Meeting attracted many guests from near and far.

“It's impressive!”

Nikolaus Berlakovic, Member of the National Council and former Austrian Minister of Agriculture, was also present and showed great interest in the tractors on display. He took the opportunity to exchange ideas with classic car owners and praised the event for its contribution to the care and preservation of the cultural heritage of agricultural technology. “The vintage tractor meeting here in Horichon has a great tradition. This year we are celebrating 30 years and it is impressive that there are so many tractors and car dealers there!”, says Nikolaus Berlakovic. The event not only provided participants with a platform to display their treasures, but also gave visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of historical agricultural technology.
