5: 0 victory! Amstetten sweeps Sturm II off the field

In round 24 of the second-choice Admiral League, SKU Amstetten celebrates a confident 5-0 victory over second-choice Sturm Graz.

The bottom Austrians are up one place and are now seventh. Meanwhile, Sturm have dropped to 14th and are just one point above the relegation zone

Amstetten surprises with a lightning start

Guests from Graz start very quickly, but they can’t sign up early. So the start is for Mostfairtler’s measure, Thomas Maier is already 1-0 after five minutes.

In the 16th minute, Grazers found a chance to equalize with a set piece, Antonio Ilić putting very little pressure on the ball with a free kick from about three meters before the penalty area.

As the match progressed, Amstetten’s Sebastian Lemhofer (32 minutes) and Stephan Urlaub (38 minutes) missed a good opportunity to retire. The latter did a much better job before the break at the second attempt and scored from close range after a cross from the right (42).

Holiday and Starkle put together a double package

In the second part of the game, an open exchange of blows is offered. Guests from Styria miss the opportunity to register. Meanwhile, Amstetten works meticulously to make it 3-0, which finally falls on the 71st minute: Holiday is allowed away to celebrate after his brace.

Shortly thereafter, Horn gave fans another reason to be happy: Stefan Starkel made it 4-0 with an overhead kick after a corner kick. Shortly before the final whistle, the ex-Rapidler made the final a perfect 5-0.
