Mexican Grand Prix: Max Verstappen continues to fight the world championship on his way to winning the title in Formula 1

In Mexico’s exhilarating storm, Max Verstappen was already working toward the goal of his dreams. Verstappen himself also referred to Red Bull’s “unbelievable speed”. The advantage was already evident after the start. Verstappen easily passed two Mercedes, after the first corner the race was almost over.

Hamilton also had to acknowledge the strength of the opponent. The British vacillated between respect and disappointment. He said, “I couldn’t do anything to counter that. You obviously have the fastest car.” Now you have to turn every stone in order to get the most out of your racing car.

Red Bull advantage in Interlagos?

Not much time left. The 19th race of the season in Brazil is already on the program this coming weekend. The track at Interlagos is similar to that of Mexico as the Red Bull circuit. The likelihood that Verstappen will continue to withdraw in the drivers’ championship and that Red Bull will take the lead in the constructors’ championship is high on paper. In the team classification, only one point separates the two teams.

Mercedes believes it has a chance in both ratings. “We haven’t lost anything, we’re still fully engaged,” Motorsport chief Toto Wolff said. In the most famous drivers’ championship, the pressure is much higher. “We have to perform now and maybe hope for a racing god,” said Wolff.

However, Max Verstappen has been in his favour for a long time.
