Blacklist: US takes action against Asian companies

As of: 25.11.2021 12:36 pm

The U.S. government has listed 27 companies from China, Japan, Pakistan and Singapore. This should prevent US technology from being used to further improve military technology.

The United States has tightened sanctions against Asian companies: The U.S. Department of Commerce says 27 companies from China, Japan, Pakistan and Singapore have been barred from trading in the military for reasons of national security and foreign policy. The ministry said several companies and individuals from China and Pakistan have been added to the list to contribute to Pakistan’s nuclear program.

America is on the “wrong track.”

With sanctions, the government in Washington wants to prevent Chinese and Russian US technology from being held accountable for the development of “military advances and operations,” said Commerce Minister Gina Raymondo.

The Chinese embassy in Washington has accused the US of using the concept of national security as a hook and abusing state power to control Chinese companies in all its forms. Diplomatic spokesman Liu Penguin said China firmly rejects this.

The United States should follow the “feeling” of the virtual meeting between US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping last week and “meet China halfway instead of continuing to go the wrong way”.
