VIENNA – EBIT for AGRANA Beteiligungs-AG in Q3 2021 | 22 (September 1 to November 30, 2021) is higher than expected at €31.2 million (Q3 2020 | 21: €28.5 million). Driver has significantly higher sales in the starch segment, due to historically higher ethanol prices.

Thus, AGRANA generated an operating profit (EBIT) of €76.0 million in the first three quarters of 2021 | 22 (March 1 to November 30, 2021) (Q1 – 3 2020 | 21: €84.3 million). Sales revenue was €2,169.6 million (Q1 – 3 2020 | 21: €1,965.3 million).

The guidance for fiscal year 2021 remains | 22 full with a significant increase in EBIT unchanged; Profit from operations must be increased by at least 10%.

Due to the extreme volatility of raw materials and energy prices and the re-exacerbation of COVID-19 – the fourth wave along with the emergence of the new Omikron variable – the outlook for the year as a whole is characterized by a very high degree of uncertainty.
