Stroka was the first Austrian to win a tournament on the US tour

Sep Stroka became the first Austrian golf pro to win a tournament on the US PGA Tour. The 28-year-old won the Honda Classic at the Palm Beach Garden in Florida on Sunday (local time) and won $ 1.44 million (approximately 28 1.28 million) in prize money.

Stroka won with a total of 270 shots and finished with one shot in front of Ireland’s Shane Lori. Born in Vienna and an American citizen, Stroka played a round of 66 in the Bar 70 curriculum on the final day. Third was American Kurt Kidayama with 272 strokes.

Following his premiere victory, Stroka could now start the Masters Augusta and PGA Championship and the exclusive Champions Tournament next January in Hawaii. “It’s insane. It’s my lifelong dream to go to Augusta in one more month. It’s more surreal,” Straga said.

In Germany’s view, the match did not go as planned. Stephen Jagger of Munich was 48th, while Martin Gamer lost the match after a gap of three and a half months.
