The Supervisory Board of Rhenus SE & Co. has appointed. KG Tobias Bartz as new CEO effective April 1, 2022. Clemens Reithmann, born in 1965, is stepping down from this position, which he has held since 2008, at the end of March. “We are arranging the successor at an early stage in order to continue the positive development of the Rinus group. That is why we trust Tobias Bartz. He has extensive international experience and first-class networks and is the best choice to lead Rinus to a good future.” Marco Schrötter, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Klemens Rethmann, who will focus in the future on his duties on the Rethmann SE Board of Directors, says, “Tobias and I have worked very closely and successfully together since our first days at the Rhenus Group. We have achieved a lot with the entire Rhenus family. We respect and trust each other. So I am proud to be able to call him my successor.”
Tobias Bartz, born 1977, started his career in 2005 as a management trainee at Rhenus. Since then, he has demonstrated his leadership skills in several international positions within the Rinos Group. Among other things, he was responsible for the Rhenus Road Freight business in France and Spain. In 2015, he was appointed to the Executive Board and managed the growth of the Air & Ocean business unit from Singapore for three years before returning to Germany in 2018. He will also retain his position on the Board of Directors as CEO of the Rinos Group. Tobias Bartz has already had a clear goal in mind: “In the coming years, we at Rhenus Group will continue to place a strong emphasis on green and digital growth and transformation. We will continue to expand our global network.”
