Salzburg – Tuesday 3 May 2022 at 12:08 pm
Red Bull champion Salzburg has extended the contracts of defenders Keegan Kanzig and Paul Stapelfeldt for the upcoming ICE Hockey League season.
The Canadian King (27) was one of the best defenders in the league last season, scoring two goals and providing four assists in 61 games.
“Kegan made a huge step in his first year in Europe,” said Salzburg coach Matt McAllen.
“He had to learn a lot about how to play ice hockey in Europe, but then he became a reliable defender and also played a big role in the manpower game on his way to the championship title.”
Salzburger Staplevelt made 37 league appearances last season. “He has a very strong personality and is ready to contribute fully to the professional Red Bulls team,” McElvan adds.
