A year ago, Apple announced that it would integrate iCloud Documents and Data with iCloud Drive. Now the Mac manufacturer provides reports in one file

That this migration has been completed. Documents and Data also synced files across devices and apps via iCloud, but it worked separately from iCloud Drive.
The migration to iCloud Drive happened without any action on the part of the users, but they still have to activate iCloud Drive on their device. This is how it works:
Activate iCloud Drive on Mac

Use the Apple () menu to select System Preferences and click Apple ID (from macOS 10.15 Catalina)

Select iCloud
-
If you haven’t already, sign in with your Apple ID

Check “iCloud Drive”
Enable iCloud Drive on iPhone/iPad
