The landing mission was successful on the last day of the match. Now the SCR Altach must start looking for a new trainer again.
Ludovic Magnin leaves Vorarlberg after only six months. The club confirmed this on Monday afternoon.
The 43-year-old takes advantage of his release clause and becomes the new head coach of Lausanne Sport, which Transfer the contractually agreed exit amount to Altlach. It was agreed not to disclose the exact terms of the transfer.
The club has just been relegated from the Swiss Super League and parted ways with its French coach, Alain Casanova.
Magnin was introduced in Ländle in the winter as successor to Damir Kennedy. In 13 matches on the bench, the Swiss player has four wins and three draws.
The sport of Lausanne is Magen’s “desire of the heart”.
“These days – also in football – are very fast-moving. Ludovic informed us of his heart’s desire after he stayed up. Of course we tried to keep him. Unfortunately we did not succeed and then everything happened very quickly. On Sunday we had contact with FC Lausanne for the first time,” Christoph Langl, general manager of SCR, explains.
“Especially in the current situation, his departure is very bitter because we absolutely wanted to continue down this path with him. His decision must be accepted and respected. He says a lot about the person Ludovic Magen that he left his hometown club after he wanted to be relegated. To help in the second league.”
Werner Grabherr, Altacher sporting director, adds: “Together with our coaching staff, Ludovic Magnin has managed to keep the belief in staying alive until the last game and ultimately achieving our common goal.”
He also says: “Because of the exit clause, which was one of his conditions of commitment at the Altach, Ludovic’s decision must be respected. We wish him all the best on his future path and new assignment, which is a matter of the heart for him as a citizen of Lausanne.”
