GAK reports the notable newcomer. Atsushi Zizen moves from bankrupt FC Wacker Innsbruck to Sterians on a free transfer.
The second-tier club provides the Japanese Admiral with a two-year contract plus an option for another season.
Ziesen came to Innsbruck in the summer of 2018. In 88 matches in the second division – first for amateur Wacker, then for professionals – the attacking player scored 20 goals and 15 assists. He missed the spring of 2022 due to a ruptured cruciate ligament – he will be fit only in the new season. He was out at the start of the season due to a knee injury.
“Atsushi will enrich our attack with his versatility, drive towards goal and highly professional demeanor,” says sporting director Dieter Elsnegg.
After Levan Eloshvili (Kapfenberg), Thorsten Schriebl (Lafnitz) and Paolo Jager (WAC II), the 22-year-old is the fourth newcomer to “Red Jackets”.
