There have been a number of negotiations in the past few weeks, but FC Barcelona no longer has any intention of extending the cooperation with Dani Alves, which expired at the end of June. Meanwhile, the club announced the separation on Wednesday evening.
Elvis wrote, among other things, a sentence in his statement, which is generally humorous, “They tried to turn me away, but they could not, for you cannot imagine, or you can, how I can withstand and resilient the morning.” He’s hinting at a comeback in November of last year. Alves had previously worn his boots for the traditional Catalan club from 2008 to 2016.
Back to Barcelona again
After his first farewell, he first went to Juventus Turin, and then crossed Paris Saint-Germain to the São Paulo club. The 39-year-old only had to stay in his native Brazil for two years. Due to unpaid wages, he quit his job and surprisingly returned to Barcelona nine months ago.
Those who have allowed him to wear the Barcelona shirt for so many years cannot imagine how happy he is every day. “I hope they don’t miss my daily madness and happiness,” jokes Elvis, who is not yet clear how things will go.
Dani Alves is looking for a new club
With the Brazilian national team, of which he remains a permanent member and even a captain, Alves wants to take part in the next Winter World Cup – his last major tournament. In fact, he was hoping that Barcelona would offer him another half-year contract so that he could travel to Qatar in the best condition.
Now Alves is looking for the last challenge at club level. The end of the career, at least that’s what it sounds like, is out of the question: “A very nice course ends and another, more demanding one begins.”
