A German ice hockey professional has never been honored as the best newcomer in the North American NHL. The former Erfurt is now the recipient of the award. Congratulations from his old club.

There is no indication that Moritz’s disciple wrote the history of German ice hockey. When the 21-year-old was named the North American NHL’s best rookie, the Detroit Red Wings defender remained silent. He was given the honor that no other German professional player had ever received in the best ice hockey league in the world.

At Gala in the American metropolis of Tampa, the disciple turned his equipment into a masterpiece. The national player, wearing a suit and bow tie, accepted the gift, which he said he did not expect. “I’m not making a speech,” the disciple said on stage after kissing his girlfriend, three-time short track Olympian Anna Seid, and accepting the first greetings.

However, in his first season, he only appeared on very rare occasions in a vague appearance. The disciple continued to stand alone. He was in the snow in all 82 major round matches, scoring a total of 50 points and recording 43 assists. No other NHL rookie has received much help in the last season.

In defense, he showed himself tough against established stars. Detroit’s collaborating partner Grand Rapids Griffins and Rögle BK in Sweden showed no signs of adjustment issues after his season’s adjustment phase.

“He showed a remarkable presence in his first year and played well throughout the year,” said national coach Tony Soderhom about his supporter finishing sixth in the 2019 talent test. “Of course I’m so excited for Moritz, he made all the ice hockey proud in Germany.”

On the national team, the disciple, along with Canadian league rivals Leon Triesight of the Edmonton Oilers, is one of Soderhom’s most important building blocks – despite his young age. DEB President Peter Merton added: “We are very proud to be the first German player to win the Calter Trophy at the age of 21.

Black dragons greet disciples on social networks

Black Dragons Erfurt, the disciple learned to play ice hockey at the age of five and moved to Adler Mannheim nine years later, wrote on social media: “Congratulations from your black dragons – we’re so proud of you!”

In the final, Seider won an impressive victory over two attacking players, Michael Bunting from the Toronto Maple Leafs and Trevor Zegras from the Anaheim Ducks. Of the 195 journalists eligible to vote, only 25 did not see the Palestinians in the first place.

Focusing on the snow and off the field is desirable – this is how the disciple appeared on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Because, after a little joke about the missing parents saying “it is very important to come back from Croatia and go on vacation”, the disciple also had sympathy on his side in Tampa.
