United States: “Call it election fraud”

The US president will stay by all means – by the end of 2020 Trump has put massive pressure on his judiciary. But there he encountered unexpected opposition.

By the end of 2020, the days of Donald Trump being president are numbered, but the then 74-year-old wants him to continue in office. Dozens of attempts by the courts to overturn the election results failed. “We have achieved tremendous success,” he continues to lash out at his supporters. He added: “We need the support of the Ministry of Justice.” Trump’s plan: The judiciary should insult the election. He calls on the Deputy Attorney General.

Richard Donoku summed up what Trump had in mind during the investigation into the attack on the US Capitol. At the time, Donoghue Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and Trump reported direct quotes: “What I want from you is: say election fraud. Leave the rest to me and Republican MPs.”

However, the top echelon of the judiciary refuses to accept Trump’s request. There is no legal basis for this. Trump insists, puts pressure, and continues to talk about election fraud. The ministry checks and calculates. “Our investigation showed an error rate of 0.0063 percent,” Donoku said. He told the Senate hearing that Trump was not interested in the verified numbers, data and facts.

What should Trump do if the head of the ministry does not respond? Instead, his personal lawyer and gossiper, Rudolf Giuliani, advises that “someone should seize the judiciary who is not afraid of what will happen to your reputation.”

Jeffrey Clark is the man. At that time he was working in the Ministry of Justice and was considered an expert on environmental issues. He is polite and serves as Trump’s favorite aide. Acting Attorney General Rosen and his deputy Donoku are panicking. They investigated several suspected election frauds and reported their findings to the president. “There were isolated cases of fraud, but nothing big enough to even question the outcome of a state election,” Donoku told the inquest.

Trump time is running out. The judiciary is one of his last aces. If he does not find out that the election is rigged, he will resign soon.

Trump’s candidate did not get a ministerial post

Rosen and Donoku receive support in the ministry. On January 3, they explained to Trump, “If the president makes his proposed change at the top of the department, all the top officials in the department will resign en masse,” Donoku testified.

Jeffrey Clark did not become attorney general. Two days ago, FBI agents raided his home in Virginia. The FBI has refused to provide any information. However, Clark’s supporters contacted Capitol’s approach in the days leading up to the attack and accused the FBI of using the law as a tool.
