In front of the stands packed with spectators, the stars of the MotoGP World Championships came out at the Parco de Montecchio in San Marino on Wednesday night for a friendly soccer match.
The riders of the three GP classes, MotoE and Superbike World Championship, had to show off their ball skills for over 50 minutes on Wednesday. As a pre-event for the San Marino Grand Prix at Misano World Circuit this weekend, 39 players made their way to San Marino to showcase their best performances in front of the audience and cameras.
The San Marino team competed with the coaching team consisting of Pico Bagnaia, Marco Pesici and captain Ina Bastianini. The rival team Riviera di Rimini was coached by Franco Morbidelli and Alex Espargaro, led by Maverick Vinales.
The match, which consisted of two halves of 25 minutes each, was won by Riviera di Rimini with a clarity of 6: 2. The successful team scored twice by Tony Arbolino, Andrea Migno, Manuel Gonzalez and Maverick Vinales.
Johan Zarco and Marco Ramirez met for the San Marino team, where Dorna sporting director Carlos Izpeleta was also involved.
