Three years ago, Ford caused a stir with the introduction of the Mustang Mach-E, after all, an all-electric SUV was given the prestigious name of “muscle cars.” Now they present the new “real” gasoline-powered Ford Mustang.
The newly introduced Ford Mustang incorporated some elements of the Mustang Mach-E electric SUV. The grille has become larger and merges with the headlights at the top. The typical black tape is not present in the back. Some things have been updated inside, so now there are two large screens. One is behind the steering wheel and the other is installed in the center console at a slight angle to the driver. Screen graphics help was obtained from “Epic Games” – a company that usually produces video games.
The muscle car is powered by a five-liter V8, which is likely to produce more than 450 horsepower, with a new intake system, dual air intake and dual throttle – like the outgoing model. Ford has not provided any official performance information. Fuel savers can also choose a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, but this means that they have to content themselves with a more elegant and simple appearance, as well as the absence of an air intake on the hood and no wings at the rear. Both options can be ordered as a manual (6 speed) and as a 10-speed automatic.
Other improvements and path model
The new Mustang’s direct-steering, along with the optional “MagneRide” chassis, should adapt to road conditions in a jiffy.
In addition to the regular GT version, another more powerful model will be released called “Dark Horse”. This top model will be equipped as standard with a lighter water coolant, engine and transmission oil cooler, and a rear axle differential cooler. but that is not all. From 2024, the Dark Horse S and R will be used in GT3 and GT4 racing. She also wants to participate in the US NASCAR Series. This lightweight variant will be seen for the first time in January 2024 at the 24 Hours of Daytona.
The “regular” models should be available from late summer 2023. Ford hasn’t announced pricing yet. But you can assume that it will be more than 55,000 euros, because that’s how much the current model costs.
