Frankfurt Wind turbine maker Nordex landed fewer orders in 2022 than in the previous year, putting pressure on the stock. The orders added up to 1,235 systems with a nominal output of 6.33 gigawatts, the group announced Tuesday. In the previous year there were 1,636 systems with an output of 7.95 GW.

The largest single markets in Europe were Germany, Finland, Turkey, Poland and Spain. Latin America, with four countries, accounted for 21 percent of the order volume, and North America only six percent.

However, CEO José Luis Blanco said: “As expected, we had strong order momentum in the fourth quarter, with higher turbine prices than last year. In addition to the numerous orders from markets where Nordex already has a strong reputation, I’m pleased we were able to Once again winning customers in Canada.”
