John Waters is coming to Vienna’s Gartenbaukino in April

John Waters, the eternal terrible boy among directors, who has made it his mission to rebel against his so-called “good taste,” celebrates his 77th birthday on April 22. At the beginning of April we can now see him on a visit to Vienna on stage Gardening Cinemas Experience: am April 3 He will be on stage from 7:30pm!

One man show

Waters appears with his one-man show “The End of the World” and delivers a monologue as poignant as it is deeply comic on the despair, disease, and longing of today’s world. It also reveals how to reinvent filmmaking, accept stupidity in an intellectual way, and even push the boundaries of sexual assault.

Cult films and cult shows

Waters has written and directed 16 films to date, including cult films like Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, Polyester, and Hairspray. He has also written ten books and released two music CDs. He has also made a name for himself as a photographer, whose work has been shown in famous galleries around the world.

Waters has performed at colleges, museums, film festivals, and comedy clubs around the world with his one-man shows The End of the World, This Dirty World, False Negative, and Troublemaker. He also has another staple to offer with his annual Christmas show, A John Waters Christmas.
