Hard Work: Red Bull Salzburg’s victories overtake the WAC – Bundesliga

FC Red Bull Salzburg took the next step towards the eighth consecutive championship title. The Bulls celebrated their 2-1 away win over Wydad on Sunday. Batson Dhaka brought the tournament’s top captains to the fore before Diane Jovilich could equalize before the break. Marjum Berisha scored the winning goal shortly after the second half. Salzburg remains eight points ahead of Rapid.

Dhaka puts the Bulls ahead – Jovilich is too afraid to score from scratch

After the uncertainty of WAC goalkeeper Kuttin, the visitors from Salzburg reached the first end of the match, but Enoch Mwebo missed the Carinthians’ goal (third). Three minutes later, Moebo played a long ball towards the second bar, as Marjane Berisha came to an end. There was WAC goalkeeper Kuttin and he called out (6).

Series Champion remained on the trigger and advanced in the 14th minute: Berisha extended a long throw from Christensen’s head to the second crossbar, as Batson Dhaka headed home – 0: 1. The team captain was the team that decided the match, but got the equalizer out of nowhere: Dejan Jovilich sped up for a very short back pass from Bernidi, spinning Sekan Stankovi and shoving skin into the blank – 1: 1 (28).

After a surprise draw for the Carinthians, an open game developed, although the guests from Salzburg showed more oomph in the attack. Batson Dhaka found a good chance before the break, but his shot slammed over it (45th).

Less than three minutes into the break, the series’ heroes took the lead again: Daka easily overcame Lochshvili after a long ball from Kristensen, played in the middle of Mwepu, who immediately passed to Mergim Berisha. The German ended relentlessly and made it 1: 2 (48).

Shortly thereafter, Wydad nearly equalized: Lendl brought a free kick into the penalty area in the usual manner, with Baumgartner spoiling himself with his head towards goal. Salzburg goalkeeper Stankovic was alert and blocked the impact (51.). On the other hand, Mirjem Berisha’s shot missed Koten’s goal (53).

It got messy a little over an hour later when the leaders found a fourfold chance, but Wolfsberger’s leg was always in the middle. The guests had to go to the final stage with one man less after Antoine Bernidi saw the color red after a brazen attack against Wisinger (72).

Dejan Jovilich found the best chance to tie with his head. Serbian football went above Stakovic’s goal (86th). Ultimately, Salzburg celebrated their fourth victory in the current championship group.
