Dying Light 2: Stay Human: A powerful update is rolling out

The studio had already promised that Techland would continue to take an interest in Dying Light 2: Stay Human long after release. Now it looks like the next big update is on the horizon and it’s supposed to turn things around.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human was well received, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement, especially since Techland promised long-term support. On April 20, the game will apparently receive a solid update, as confirmed by Techland’s Tymon Smektala at the Future Games Show.

Above all, said update should significantly revise and improve the combat system. According to Smiktala, it is about “significant improvements to the combat system, which will be more brutal, more physical and more rewarding”. In addition, it should contain new transform options for your equipment, so that you rarely have to choose between “style or stats”.

Smektala also gave Future Games Show viewers a sneak peek at its next story-based DLC, due later this year, along with two artifacts. The first shows an autumnal town with a church tower in the background, and the second indicates a new location at Morlech Asylum. In addition, the game should receive improved mod support throughout the year.

So it looks like Dying Light 2: Stay Human is running merrily. Techland has already released a full suite of DLC and updates, from patches to various packs to expand the Bloody Ties story, and developer tools are also now available. That’s not to say Techland isn’t doing anything else, though, as it’s now been confirmed that the studio is working on a new open-world fantasy title, teaser artwork for which was recently released.
