The KSV1870 draws on the international experience of seasoned manager Markus Potthast (51) since the beginning of February. In addition to operational work, a qualified industrial engineer will pay special attention to increasing efficiency and implementing digitization projects in the areas of finance and procurement.

KSV1870 has been focusing on digitization for many years and follows this path not only in product and service area, but also in internal process restructuring. In order to continue down this path consistently in the areas of financing and purchasing, the Creditor Protection Association has brought Marcus Potthast, a recognized expert, to the KSV1870 family.

“With Markus Potthast, we were able to win over a world-renowned financial expert with strong implementation skills, who brings diverse knowledge and a wide range of expertise to KSV1870 for the upcoming digitization agenda. We are very pleased that we have succeeded in getting him excited about this strategically important mission,” says Hannes Fritsch, Chief Financial Officer of KSV1870 Holding AG.

Individual digitization of finance

The native German has extensive digitization experience from various industries with a focus on the financial sector. In KSV1870, in addition to day-to-day operations, Potthast will develop internal processes in the financing and purchasing domains through dedicated digitization measures. One of the primary issues is the implementation of SAP S / 4 Hana.

Potthast reports to Hannes Frech, Chief Financial Officer of KSV1870 Holding AG.

After completing his studies at the University of Kaiserslautern, Potthast began his career in 1995 at Nordsee, where he worked in control, among other things, and was able to gain valuable experience in SAP migrations. In 1999, Potthast moved to Austria and continued his career as CFO at Cerny & Nordsee and later at pressetext.

This was followed by engagements at EurotaxGlass and most recently at Autovista, where he was responsible as Group Finance Director for the DACH region, among other things, with an interest in the areas of control, accounting and human resources.
