They appear on stage and on canvas
Under the creative direction of Karl-Heinz Helmschrott, “Unikate” presents itself as a spectacle. Culinary cuisine, ranging from delicate to extravagant, is combined with performances on stage. “Unikate” wants to be a feast for the senses, where culinary masterpieces merge with the show programme. A millefeuille of buffalo ricotta is served with tomato fondue, wild herb pesto and olive tempura as a starter. This is followed by shiitake consommi with gyoza, shrimp and ponzu as an intermediate course. For the main course, guests can look forward to beef in Chianti on truffle polenta with baby carrots and snow peas. Sachertorte 2.0 is served with chocolate, apricots, whipped cream and coffee as dessert. The vegetarian variant also includes a buffalo ricotta filet with tomato fondue, wild herb pesto and olive tempura as a starter, and a shiitake consommé with gyoza, shiitake and onion ponzu as a mid course. The vegetarian main course is braised Hokkaido squash over couscous with pomegranate and caramelized walnuts. Sachertorte 2.0 is also served with chocolate, apricots, whipped cream and coffee for dessert
Leading guests through the evening is moderator Daniel Rensburg with his mix of comedy and ventriloquism. When it comes to acrobatics, the exceptional Chinese artist Junru Wang can be seen. Artist duo Vol au Vent is also making waves. They tossed each other high into the dome of the Mirror Palace, doing twists, flips and somersaults. Becca Burke’s acrobatic performance on the aerial ring is also a highlight. Canadian singer Sophie Beaudet and the Palazzo band “Ferris Wheelers” provide musical accompaniment.
