Ana Simic has joined the supervisory board of state-owned Asfinag. The Austrian Climate Ministry announced on Tuesday that Simek is managing director of Dain Studios in Austria, a data management and artificial intelligence company.
When asked by APA about Simic's qualifications, the department said she is an IT expert with experience in A1 and bwin. She is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of the IT company EuroTeleSites. The FPÖ defines “impeccable job bargaining.”
Christian Havenecker, the FPÖ's transport spokesman, sees her as a “Green Party soldier” and points out that Simic ran for seventh place on the Green Party list in the Vienna-Alsergrund district council elections in 2020. In addition, according to the Chamber of Commerce, Dain Studios liquidation, Climate Minister Leonore Geussler (Green Party) presented false facts in her press release issued yesterday.
Havenecker threatens to press ministerial charges
“In any case, it should be written on Ms. Goessler's record that any mail fraud can be reversed, and that a Cabinet assignment awaits her as minister even after she leaves office soon,” Havenecker said.
When asked by the APA, the climate ministry said Dain had withdrawn from Austria but would remain active internationally. Special political commitment is not examined when holding this position, as only experience and qualifications are counted.
Voglauer sees “unparalleled mockery”
Olga Voglauer, Secretary General of the Green Party, later followed up. “It is an unparalleled irony that the same party that has to accept the charge of enriching itself wherever possible should criticize the appointment of an indisputably highly qualified person,” she said in a statement to the APA.
“Anyone who looks at appointments to the Ministry of Climate Protection across the board can only come to one conclusion: the only relevant criteria are experience and qualifications. There are two criteria that the FPÖ clearly has no idea about.
