DrWaidhofen sappalott played songs from their new album “sappalotta” live at the Böhlerzentrum on Saturday and had a vinyl copy of their album with them.

The auditorium at the Buhler Center was not able to accommodate visitors Saturday evening. Waidhofen sappalotta presents their new album “sappalotta”, now released directly on vinyl. Sabalote consists of Erik Haselsteiner (drums and accordion), Mike Steiner (bass), Julius Dorfbauer (guitar), Anton Brachner (violin and drums), Manfred Helm (sound and technology), and Eli Dorfbauer (vocals and violin). There since 2016 an integral part of the band. The band's origins go back to the 1990s.

Sappalott is constantly working on her own sound. The musicians, belonging to different styles, incorporate influences of rock, pop and classical music into their songs. The arrangements come primarily from guitarist Julius Dorfbauer.

The new album was produced entirely by themselves. Every band member participated. For example, Mike Steiner's hobby of brewing beer is reflected in the song “The Brewer” or Elle Dorfbauer was able to embody her passion for art through the cover design.

The vinyl version of the album is a limited edition of 250 copies. It is available directly from band members or via the contact form on the home page.

Prior to the concert, metal artist Walter Gestenhofer presented his artwork at the Buhler Center. “Composed largely of recycled materials, each metal image has its own story and a completely different way of thinking. Socially critical and contemporary themes are addressed,” Gestetenhofer explained.
