French League: Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain tied 0-0

Monaco coach Adi Hutter made two changes to his starting line-up after the 3-2 win at Stade RC Lens. Kerrer and Akleuch started instead of Salisu and Zakaria.

On the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique made five changes to the starting lineup compared to the impressive 1-1 draw against Stade Rennes. Danilo Pereira, Fabian, Lee, Dembélé and Barcola made way for Mukiele, Ugarte, Carlos Soler, Asensio and Gonçalo Ramos.

Donnarumma saves Paris Saint-Germain from falling behind

Monaco had a better start in the match, as Donnarumma made his first save against Balogun in the fifth minute. PSG had the advantage in terms of possession, but the better chances went to the home team. But Monaco always found its master in the powerful Donnarumma, such as Minamino (16) and Ecclesioch (29).

The capital team faced difficult times and there were no dangerous movements on goal, and the best chance went to Asensio (21), who was forced to leave the field after a few minutes due to muscle problems. Mbappe, who was substituted at the break, did not make much progress either, and was in good hands in the arms of Singo, among others (41). Monaco began the final attack again in the final minutes of the first round, but Ben Yedder (42) and Akliush (45 + 3) – who was blocked by Donnarumma again – repeatedly lost the lead.

Paris Saint-Germain also misses the lead

The first opportunity in the second half also went to the Monaco team: a powerful shot from Ben Yedder hit the post (58). The flag was raised in this scene, but if a goal had been scored it would have been a problem for VAR. As a result, PSG became stronger, also because Monaco noticed that their strength was starting to weaken.

Lucas Peraldo (60), Mukiele (62), Barcola (67) and Vitinha (75) wasted promising opportunities. Paris Saint-Germain besieged the opponent's penalty area in the last minutes, but there were no more chances, so the score remained goalless in the end.
