Paris Saint-Germain routinely reaches the quarter-finals of the Champions League. After winning 2-0 in the first leg, the French champions won the encounter against Real Sociedad San Sebastian in Spain 2-1 (1-0) thanks to the outstanding duo of Kylian Mbappe. This is the eighth time that Paris Saint-Germain has reached the quarter-finals of the first division, having finished in the round of 16 in each of the past two seasons.

After Mbappe's intention to move to Real Madrid became public a few weeks ago, the French striker's playing time has been very limited recently. But on Tuesday, he was in the starting lineup and led his team to the next round with his fifth and sixth goals in the current competition (15, 56). For San Sebastian, the dream of reaching the first quarter-finals in the first division was shattered. Mikel Merino's goal (89') came late.
Superstar Mbappe made the difference again, and just as in the first leg, he gave PSG the lead: the hosts started strongly, then Mbappe began to dribble and passed the ball into the far corner. Paris wanted to make everything clear early, as the strong Alex Remiro initially blocked Mbappe's second goal against San Sebastian (29).
There were no more highlights for a long while, as Paris managed to level the score – until substitute Mbappé sent a long ball past substitute Kang-In Lee and calmly took the decision.
