The French group is already the majority owner of Belfast and London Gatwick's international airports

French group Vinci wants to take a small majority stake in Edinburgh Airport. The construction, energy and services group announced on Wednesday at Rueil Malmaison near Paris that a 50.01 percent stake in Edinburgh Airport Limited will be acquired for £1.27 billion (€1.5 billion). The deal is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2024.

The remaining 49.99 percent stake is managed by Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), which has owned the airport since 2012. Edinburgh Airport had a turnover of £272 million in 2023 and an EBITDA margin of 65 percent.
