A 2016 video posted by CNN shows the rapper grabbing and kicking his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. It confirms the allegations made by Ventura against him.
CNN has released a surveillance video from 2016 showing rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs abusing his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. It shows him grabbing her, throwing her to the ground, pulling her, and kicking her. Shortly after that, he also threw things at her. Cassie Ventura is a model and singer known for songs like “Me & U”.
The events depicted in the video are consistent with allegations made in Ventura's lawsuit filed in November, which has now been settled, CNN wrote. The footage from March 5, 2016, compiled from multiple camera angles, appears to show the rapper, producer and business mogul during an incident at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, according to Ventura's complaint.
The incident was part of a series of allegations contained in the lawsuit. Ventura also said she was raped in 2018 and suffered physical assaults and other repeated abuse from Combs for years. Ventura and Combs agreed to settle after the indictment, but details of the settlement were not disclosed.
“Disturbing behavior from Combs”
Ventura declined to comment to CNN about the video. Instead, Ventura's attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, saying: “The heartbreaking video underscores Mr. Combs’ disturbing and aggressive behavior.”
Combs had previously denied Ventura's allegations. Combs and Ventura were in a relationship from 2007 to 2018.
