VSV have secured the services of striker Max Coatta. The 30-year-old American is a fast, dangerous and hard-working striker.
Kawata has experience in the ECHL and AHL. Last year, he led Retten to the Alpine Hockey League championship title under new VSV head coach Trae Toomey.
The experienced striker has signed a contract with VSV for next season.
Head coach Trae Toomey is pleased to be able to welcome an old friend, Kuata, to Villach: “Max Kuata was largely responsible for last year's Reiten Championship title with a really strong performance and leadership qualities. He is a very strong player technically and has a lot of experience.” His powerful shot creates a lot of danger in front of goal, he is also a hard worker, and in addition to his strong goalscoring instinct, he is also a real team player and will certainly bring us a lot of joy in the dressing room as well!”
Kuta looks forward to her time in Villach with great anticipation: “I'm really excited. Villach is a hockey city with great fans. I will do my best so that we can succeed together. I can't wait for it to finally start again!”
