Say Harper. American singer Justin Timberlake (43) was caught behind the wheel of a car under the influence of alcohol and taken into temporary police custody. The singer was charged with driving while intoxicated, a spokesman for the police department in Zach Harbor on Long Island, about 150 kilometers east of New York's metropolitan area, told a German press agency on Tuesday. He has since been released again.
More details will be provided later. Timberlake still has to appear before a judge. His administration did not initially respond to a request from the German Press Agency.
The singer, who is married to actress Jessica Biel and has two children, rose to fame primarily through boy band *NSYNC and is now a successful solo artist. He is currently on tour with a new album and plans to perform in Chicago and New York in the coming days. (dpa)
