DDSG Blue Danube: leisure cruises in July 2024

The DDSG Blue Danube, in which Wien Holding also has a stake, starts the summer season with exciting cruises where guests can escape from everyday life.

DDSG Blue Danube summer cruises offer a variety of attractions combined with the right gourmet cuisine and musical accompaniment for a unique evening on the gentle waves of the Danube.

MS Admiral Tegetthoff: Special Cruises in July
The MS Admiral Tegetthoff is offering a series of fascinating themed cruises in July 2024. Pasta, pizza and tiramisu – you can experience a relaxing Italian evening with appropriate musical accompaniment with the “Italian Night” on Friday, July 5. During the summer brunch on the Danube on July 7 and 28, guests on board the MS Admiral Tegetthoff can expect a very special Sunday cruise, with a boat trip along the Viennese skyline and a delicious breakfast and lunch buffet. On July 12, passengers can enjoy an exceptional evening centered around Johann Strauss. A classical orchestra will perform Johann Strauss’s world-famous Danube Waltz. The program features waltzes in a unique atmosphere and against a stunning backdrop, as well as delicious Viennese dishes from the buffet.

ABBA's biggest hits and the smörgasbord, a typical Swedish buffet, will be available on July 13 as part of Swedish Night with ABBA Hits. On July 14, there will be a Vienna Brunch full of hustle and bustle, where guests will enjoy a fun boat ride on the Danube River in Vienna with a sumptuous brunch buffet and Viennese songs. The exclusive “70s, 80s and 90s Party” trip on July 27 with legendary DJ Mel Mirio takes participants back to the golden decades of music history.

MS Vienna: Heurigen's Journeys with Viennese Songs
MS Wien departs every Thursday at 7pm on the famous Heurigen cruise with Viennese songs. At the beginning of the cruise, as guests help themselves to the excellent buffet, Viennese musicians play discreetly in the background. After the meal, the band moves from table to table and fulfills the traditional musical desires of the guests. The buffet offers cold and warm Heurigen specialties along with typical Viennese delicacies such as schnitzel, spreads, apple pie and cakes.

Mrs. Kaiserin Elisabeth: Highlights of July
The popular Sunset Barbecue Cruise takes place every Wednesday in July. The impressive MS Kaiserin Elisabeth's spacious sun deck invites you to enjoy aperitifs against a magnificent backdrop with a 360-degree panoramic view of the Vienna skyline, and the rich buffet serves delicious grilled specialties. The powerfully vocal Kreutzberger Sisters accompany the sunset with entertaining live music. As a highlight, colorful fireworks conclude the summer evening cruise.

Premium barbecue specialties from award-winning barbecue and grilling professionals will be available as part of the Country Barbecue & Spare Ribs cruise on May 31. A country band, Western Cowboys, will lead the evening with live music, while the ship’s onboard catering service will serve up a delicious barbecue buffet featuring barbecued ribs. There’s also fiery chicken wings, sausages, corn on the cob and, of course, the unique view of Vienna from the ship’s deck.
