Husqvarna Mobility Introduces New Generation TC 85 for 2025

A new frame, improved engine and several technical updates make the popular small displacement bike ready for the season.

Husqvarna Mobility announces a new generation of the TC 85 for 2025, underlining the continued development of high-performance two-stroke minibikes. The competition-focused bike now rides on a completely new chassis that delivers significant improvements in handling and stability, while an updated engine increases low- to mid-range power. Other components fitted to improve the trail experience for all young riders include a new WP shock absorber, a revised swingarm and a more ergonomic bodywork. The changes are rounded off by new graphics that are consistent with the full-size models and give the TC 85 a modern, unified look.

With the previous model, which won the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship in 2023, the new TC 85 is built on proven foundations and features a high-quality finish. For 2025, a new frame with improved geometry significantly improves handling and stability. Based on the design of the full-size models, the new WP XACT shock absorber, which is 16 mm shorter than before to ensure a more balanced chassis, is mounted on the upper frame tube. This design gives the TC 85 a smoother ride, a big advantage on rough tracks and big jumps. In addition, the steering head angle has been reduced by half a degree and is positioned 6 mm closer to the centre of the chassis to improve cornering performance, especially on corner exit.

The 85cc two-stroke engine benefits from several new components to deliver stronger low-end and mid-range performance without compromising top-end performance. New features include a new cylinder head, spark plug, ignition and exhaust, with the Keihin carburetor settings revised to suit the improved engine. Finally, the engine is rotated three degrees higher in the front compared to the previous generation, and rotating at the same mounting point on the swingarm distributes weight more effectively for improved cornering and jumping.

The swingarm itself is new and 300 grams lighter thanks to an improved casting process. The new frame, WP, for a more controlled ride. In addition, the rider triangle has been updated with new footpegs, handlebars and lower seat, further improving the riding experience and making the new generation model incredibly easy to drive.
