The Pope's five-hour visit on Sunday is scheduled to include meetings with migrants, people with disabilities, ecumenical representatives and academics. The visit will conclude with a Mass in the city's main square.

Pope Francis will take off from the Vatican helipad for Trieste at 6:30 a.m. At 8:00 a.m. he will be welcomed in the courtyard of the Generali Convention Center in Trieste by various personalities, including the President of the Episcopal Conference, Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, the Mayor of Trieste, Roberto DiPiazza, and the Bishop of Trieste, Enrico Trevesi. From 9:15 a.m., there will be meetings with migrants, people with disabilities, and ecumenical representatives, among others. The Holy Father will then celebrate Holy Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Piazza Unità d'Italia.
