Misolic and Koller win in win2day ÖTV National Championship

The win2day ÖTV National Championships in Oberpollendorf on Sunday saw Philipp Misulich and Arabella Koller triumph in front of a full house. The second seed from Styria (OÖTV; ATP 182) claimed the first national title of his career in the final thanks to a brilliant 6:0, 6:2 performance against the top-ranked, Lower Austria's Hander Yuri Rodionov (KTV; ATP 152). Both Davis Cup players have previously reached the final once in national title fights – Rodionov in 2017 and Misulich in 2022. Third seed Koller (OÖTV; WTA 899) won the Salzburg final with her good friend Bettina Stommer (OÖTV) after they retired due to injury. The 41-year-old tennis mother's heel spur became more dangerous again during the run to stop the ball, so when the score was 6:1, 1:6, 4:3 and 40:30, she had to pass from the goal area. From the perspective of serving Kohler and had to succeed to settle for second place for the fourth time after 2016, 2017 and 2019. For the 23-year-old Kohler, this is the second coup after 2017 – seven years ago when she was just 16 in the final against Stömer.
