Frontier Developments today announced the long-awaited sequel to its popular theme park simulator Planet Coaster. planet coaster 2 Scheduled for release in Fall 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, it introduces a number of new features that will take players into the world of water parks.
Some of the most exciting new content is the water attractions. Players can design their parks with rushing rivers, fast water slides, wave pools, and of course, amazing water coasters. To complete the authentic water park experience, there are also changing rooms, sun loungers, lifeguards, and much more.
The sequel also relies on players' creativity. Improved building and path-finding tools, new themes, and the ability to customize games give players more freedom than ever before to create unique, memorable parks.
The event sequencer can be used to create stunning shows using animatronics, fire, water fountains, music and more that bathe rides and parks in stunning light.
Planet Coaster 2 offers three game modes: Career Mode, Franchise Mode, and Sandbox Mode. Career Mode requires players to overcome challenges and lead their parks to success, while Franchise Mode allows players to build an amusement park empire. However, in Sandbox Mode, there are no limits to imagination, as players can build and experiment to their heart’s content.
To add to the fun, Frontier has also announced a number of online features. Players can visit each other’s parks, compete on leaderboards, and build together in a sandbox level.
Frontier Workshop also allows players to share and download blueprints and even entire parks across platforms.
