Jannik Sinner had to pack his bags after his Wimbledon quarterfinal. However, this has little impact on the new world rankings. Here is a brief overview and predictions.

Jannik Sinner remains the world number one with a comfortable 1,110-point lead over Novak Djokovic. He is a further 430 points behind Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz. The second Azzurro, Lorenzo Musetti, made a big leap forward when he reached the semi-finals (9 places) and is now ranked 16th.
But how long will Atham remain No. 1 on paper? The next big tournament, the Paris Olympics, has no impact on the rankings. After the Olympics, the tour continues abroad in August with hardcourt tournaments in Montreal and Cincinnati, before the US Open at the end of the month.
In August, it's all about the points.
already exist Montreal Sinner's place in the sun is at stake as the South Tyrolean has to defend his 1000 points as last year's winner (he won in Toronto at the same time). But Djokovic skipped the Masters in Canada and could make up the points on paper this year. Just like Alcaraz who has already failed to reach the quarter-finals.

However, things look different in mid-August. Cincinnati Djokovic won the final against Alcaraz last year. Sinner has already failed in the second round of the US Open, so he could get points again.
The cards could be changed at the latest after the fourth Grand Slam of the year, at the beginning of September: Sinner fails US Open 2023 in the round of 16 against Alexander Zverev, while semi-finalist Alcaraz and tournament winner Djokovic have far more points to defend in New York. Sinner's chances of cementing his place at the top of the rankings aren't bad in the next couple of months.
