Who will be the next president of the United States? Will Republican Trump trump Trump for a second term, or will America take notice after Joe Biden abandons his bid for another term? Kamala Harris First time in history a woman as head of state?
The truth is: leads are hard to come by. Donald Trump Outrageous as always. He and the Republican camp don't shy away from polarizing, denigrating opponents and using every imaginable platform — even false ones — specifically to instill fear and promise good luck to his supporters.
This is also a fact: the election results of the United States of America, which will determine the future political and economic course of America's largest economic power, are eagerly awaited worldwide. In 2024, America will have an election not just between Democrats or Republicans, but (probably) between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, the reigning vice president and former president voted out of office in 2020. After all, it is a choice between political institutions and basic attitudes.
On the one hand, a (Harris) principle of dialogue, balance, respect and cooperation, protection of minority rights, equality for women, social justice and decisively confronting climate change and its consequences.
On the other hand (Trump) is a policy, there is no doubt what he stands for in his first presidency and how he will structure his second term. His politics are harsh, with power, trade barriers, and an establishment of old white men who can defend it with arms if necessary, sometimes seemingly irrational decisions and appearances, and climate change ignorance or denial.
It doesn't take much imagination to envision the differences between the outcomes of each possible election outcome.
