ÖFB team leader Ralf Rangnick was a guest at a lecture series in Saalfelden last weekend and impressed not only with his specialist knowledge, but also with his communicative skills.
In Saalfelden, ÖFB chairman Ralf Rangnick once again showed how close Austrian football is to his heart. The 66-year-old German took part in a series of lectures for officials responsible for local elite youth football on Friday and Saturday. “All the head coaches and managers from the NWZ and LAZ academies were on site,” explains Michael Belko, director of the Saalfelden academy. “On Friday, experts from Benfica Lisbon and PSV Eindhoven gave presentations.”
Training offer with ÖFB Team Leader
On Friday, Rangnick, who created football euphoria across the country with the ÖFB at this summer’s European Championships, was still an interested listener, and a day later he was on the podium himself. “It’s very exciting when you get insights and advice from the experts,” explains Belko. After his presentation, Rangnick led an exhibition training session with the Red Bull Salzburg U15s and the young goalkeepers from Saalfelden.
Things will get serious again in September.
The ÖFB team president has been very well received by the club officials. “He is always open to questions. In general, he is a very nice person and answers every question and is not at all distant,” says Belko. Things will get serious again for the ÖFB team at the beginning of September. In the Nations League, the first legs await us in Slovenia and Norway.
