St. Anna started the game very strongly and had their first chance after just two minutes through Kobald, which goalkeeper J.W. Stöger was able to save. In the fourth minute Kobald scored from close range to make it 1-0 to St. Anna. The Styrians had their next chance in the eighth minute but Stöger was able to save Polak's shot. In the 11th minute it was 2-0 – Schleich scored after a cross from the right. The Rieders were clearly inferior in the first half and only found the target for the first time after 20 minutes with a free kick from Wiesinger. In the 28th minute Stöger again stopped an attack from the home team but suffered concussion and had to be substituted. Then substitute goalkeeper Labsen gave away a penalty in the 32nd minute which Kobald converted to make it 3-0. That was also the break point.

In the second half, St. Anna made it 4-0 – Musik headed home from a free kick (47). Overall, the Young Vikings showed some improvement in the second half and allowed fewer goals. In the 53rd minute, substitute Forndl shot wide. In the 59th minute, Polak made it 5-0 for St. Anna with a shot from a tight angle. Then Reid made it 5-2 with goals from Zitic at the far post (69th minute) and Berger after a pass from Forndl (63rd minute). But in the 83rd minute, Trettler made it 6-2. St. Anna won the match well overall. The Young Vikings will meet the traditional club DSV Leoben at home next week. The match will be played on Friday, August 23rd at 7pm at the Klaus Roettinger Arena.
