20 Years of Half-Life 2: A Huge Update Is on the Horizon

There were no hints of a potential Half-Life 3 until the beginning of the month. This wouldn’t be anything new in and of itself, as rumors about HL3 are almost as old as the internet. What happened? We focus all our attention on SteamDB.comA new branch called “test” was created there recently. Branches (i.e. branches) are created, among other things, when new content or patches are tested by the developer.

Why is this so important? Valve created a similar “test” branch ahead of the 25th anniversary of the first Half-Life.

Half Life 2 It was released on November 16, 2024. So it wouldn’t be a surprise if Valve had something for Gordon Freeman on his 20th birthday. After all, this is the first game that requires a Steam account and can be installed and played across the platform.
