With “Pure”, Louie’s Cage Percussion now presents for the first time a pure musical program that reflects the diversity of their instruments and puts the worlds of music, rhythm and sound at the center of attention: pure rhythm in all its implications.
By combining classical instruments and synthesizers, the group creates a unique sound and pushes the boundaries of the classical rhythm repertoire.
Don't be afraid of opposites
The joy of playing and the virtuosity of Louie's Cage rhythm as well as their own compositions and arrangements are the hallmark of the group: without straying from opposites, virtuoso fusion jazz in 7/8 time and the introduction to Verdi's “La forza del destino”, elements of minimalist music go hand in hand with Debussy's “L'après-midi d'un faune”.
