Over 225,000 visitors to annual theatre festival in Lower Austria

Theater Festival Lower Austria Exactly 225,013 visitors were recorded this summer. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary, 488 shows were presented in 20 venues.

The programme from mid-June to early September included 24 premieres in the fields of opera, operetta, musicals and plays. There were also six productions for young people.

182,042 visitors watched the main shows at the 20 venues, meaning an occupancy rate of 86.8 percent. There were 24 additional shows and four cancellations were counted. According to the broadcast, 29,978 people were welcomed to the “Children's Theatre Festival” (occupancy rate: 84.6 percent). Supporting programs on the stages were attended by 12,993 people.
