How can Israel attack the Iranian nuclear program?

The Israeli army has bunker-buster bombs. But without US help, an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities would not be possible.

The warning shot did not fail to have its effect. When Israel launched its retaliatory attack on Iran in the early hours of April 19, it targeted a military base near Isfahan – Iran's nuclear research center. The fact that Natanz, an Iranian uranium enrichment site, is also located in the surrounding area, must have alarmed the regime in Tehran. Afterward, Israeli officials complained that they had yielded to pressure from Washington to take limited, almost symbolic military action.

The Israeli army recently demonstrated that it has much greater capabilities during the attack in southern Beirut, when it liquidated Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah deep underground using dozens of bunker-buster bombs. The two underground nuclear facilities, Natanz and Fordow, are located near the “Holy City” of Qom, partly in a mountain 90 meters deep, protected by Iranian air defenses, and about 2,000 kilometers away from Israel.
