Husqvarna supplies the Svartpilen 801 to the Vitpilen 801 – the Black Arrow follows the White Arrow. However, the differences are mostly of a visual nature.
After introducing the Svartpilen 801 at the beginning of 2024, Husqvarna is expanding its range with the Vitpilen 801. Technically, the two models are largely identical. The frame and two-cylinder engine from the KTM 790 are identical. The two-cylinder has 105 hp at 9250 rpm and 87 Nm at 8000 rpm in the data sheet.
The spring elements are identical, too: up front there's a $43 WP fork with an open damper cartridge, rebound damping and adjustable compression. At the rear there is a direct-linked WP shock absorber with adjustable preload and rebound. Suspension travel measures 140 and 150 mm. The brakes, a 300 twin-disc with four-piston calipers up front, are provided by Brembo subsidiary J.Juan. Everything is already known from Svartpilen.
The auxiliary electronics are identical. Cornering-activated ABS, lean angle-dependent traction control and three driving modes are standard. Dynamic mode, quick shift, Super Moto ABS and adjustment options for wheelie control and traction control can be activated for an additional cost, but pricing is not yet known. The 2024 Svartpilen 801 costs €10,890.
