A unique educational cooperative – Waldviertler HAKs is shaping the future of learning

“This cooperation between the four Waldviertler HAK institutions (Gmünd, Horn, Waidhofen, Zwettl) is unique in all of Europe!” Professor Lee from Krems University emphasized in his opening remarks. The innovative research project aims to further develop educational concepts with the aim of increasing the use of modern technologies and intensifying cooperation between schools and the business sector.

After the successful evaluation of the previous cooperation, the project is now moving to the next stage. Students should be actively involved in research in order to improve teaching and learning processes. Central questions regarding the future of teaching in the digital age are examined: “How should lessons be designed so that students can learn successfully in the virtual space?”, “How does the use of digital technologies affect the learning behavior of young people?” People?” and “How can cooperation with the business sector be made more efficient?”

This event marks the beginning of close cooperation between science, schools and business. The goal is to develop innovative and future-oriented educational models through hybrid learning spaces – a combination of physical and virtual lessons. This means that not only students will benefit from the latest learning methods, but also regional companies, which will benefit from practical and future-oriented training for future workers.

“The ‘HybridLearningSpaces@School’ science project represents an important step in the digitalization of education in Waldviertel and can serve as a model for similar initiatives across Europe,” emphasizes Director of Education Alfred Grünstödel.

The official start signals an exciting future for educational and economic cooperation in the region. All participants agree that working together on this project can provide groundbreaking insights for school design and the economy in the 21st century.
