Soundbars are a popular solution to improve the sound of televisions without having to install complex speaker systems. They offer a space-saving alternative by combining multiple speakers into a slim chassis. Many models can be connected via HDMI or cable, while some also offer the option to connect wirelessly to the TV via Bluetooth.

In our test of speakers priced up to €200, we compared several models. Our test winner, the LG DS60T, impressed with its powerful sound and a separate subwoofer that provides additional bass. Amazon's new model, the Fire TV Soundbar, is aimed at users looking for a cheaper device that doesn't require an external subwoofer and is priced closer to €100.

The Amazon Fire TV speaker is currently at a 21 percent discount and costs just €109.99.

The Amazon Fire TV Soundbar is a built-in 2.0 sound system. With a length of 610mm and a slim design, it is suitable for many TV cabinets or even wall mounting. The soundbar has two speakers, each providing 20 watts of power, and supports modern audio formats such as DTS Virtual and Dolby Audio. These technologies aim to simulate spatial sound and provide a more intense listening experience.

The soundbar is equipped with an HDMI eARC or ARC port for connecting to a TV. Additionally, the speaker can be connected to other devices such as smartphones or tablets via Bluetooth to play music or podcasts wirelessly. Of particular note is compatibility with Fire TV devices. This gives you the option to control both your TV and soundbar with a single remote. Alternatively, the TV remote can be used to control the soundbar volume.
