“The debtor has a very extensive wardrobe, which largely consists of high-quality brand-name goods,” insolvency administrator Andreas Grabenweger wrote in his fifth report. “With regard to the provision provided for in Article 5 Paragraph 2 of the Insolvency Act and against the background that the debtor obtained his own income through his work at Laura Asset 2018 Eins GmbH, the insolvency administrator – after consultation with the insolvency court – initially dispossessed these items of clothing.” Have it inventoried by an expert for the purpose of appraisal.” Footnote: “After initial resistance, the debtor eventually allowed it.”

Rene Benco is an employee and according to him, he earns 3,700 euros net per month.

He demanded payment

But the insolvency administrator also terminated the lease with Rene Benco. Therefore, in the late autumn of 2023, the former businessman made the decision to move from the luxury villa Schlosshotel Igls in Innsbruck to the modern house on the Innsbruck Hohenstrasse, which the family used until 2021. The owner is RB Immobilienverwaltungs GmbH & Co KG, which belongs to the Laura Private Foundation Foundation of the Benko family. Rene Benko and his wife both signed a lease for this purpose. Rental costs are set at 7,500 euros per month.

“René Benko also agreed to make an advance payment for four years’ rent, totaling €360,000,” according to a report by the insolvency administrator. This amount was paid in October 2023.

The insolvency administrator terminated the lease, but Benko's wife was unaffected. At the same time, the insolvency administrator asked the owner to make the advance payment. The landlord's attorney “dismissed this claim as unjustified.” He wants to approach the insolvency administrator with a proposal.

Expensive furniture

If an agreement cannot be reached by the end of the mid-October deadline, the insolvency administrator will bring legal action. He is also checking whether he can get a €120,000 deposit back to buy the furniture for Villa Höhenstraße. The furniture order said to have been originally executed by René Benko was later acquired by Benko's mother. The inward investment was probably more than €200,000 net.

Delivery request

His insolvency administrator also wants to collect Rene Benko's hunting weapons. During a house search in June 2024 in a luxury villa in Innsbruck-Eagles, the Economy and Corruption Prosecutor's Office had 15 hunting weapons (some very expensive), including three expensive double-barreled Holland & Holland rifles confiscated . The insolvency administrator submitted a request for extradition to WKStA.
