“We are proud to realize this unique project that combines the beauty of winter with culinary excellence,” explains Sandra Nadeau of Village Vacances Valcartier-Hotel de Glace.

In partnership with Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, Hôtel de Glace plans to open its first ice cream restaurant in the United States as part of its 25th anniversary celebration. It is scheduled to launch on January 17, 2025.

“Celebration of Quebec City's Unique Identity”

Hotel de Glace is already an ice hotel, redesigned and built from blocks of snow and ice every season by experienced artists and architects. It has 44 rooms and suites, an entrance hall, a lobby, a bar where drinks are served in an ice glass, a snow slide and an ice chapel where weddings can even take place.

By opening an ice cream restaurant, the aim is to offer guests unforgettable gastronomic experiences in Quebec's winter landscape. Every Friday and Saturday from January 17 to March 15, 2025, 52 guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a three-course menu in an extraordinary setting.

Subtle light illuminates the sculptures carved on the restaurant's walls by Quebec artists and represent the four elements. Effervescent volcanoes, gentle breezes, impressive waterfalls and a majestic view of the earth complete the decor, creating harmony between nature and art.

“This project is not only a testament to the culinary and artistic excellence of our region, but also celebrates the unique identity of Quebec City and its distinctive seasonality,” says Jean-Francois Vary of Château Frontenac.
