Healthacross MED Gmünd – Health Insurance Office for Neurology has been opened

In order to respond to the growing need for medical care and improve care in private clinics in the border area around Gmünd, the range of services at the Healthacross MED Gmünd health center is being developed further. The Thomas Gronda Clinic has been operating here as an elective doctor's office since November 2021, and will now be available to patients as a health insurance office from October 2024.

“The proven cooperation with our neighboring regions allows us to improve access to medical care for all population groups,” said Ludwig Schleretsko, State Councilor in charge of State Clinics.

Neurologist Thomas Grunda comes from the Czech Republic and also works as a senior physician in the Neurology Department at Horn State Hospital. He also gained experience in different clinics in northern Germany and the Czech Republic. As part of its work, Grunda not only offers comprehensive neurological diagnostics and treatment approaches tailored to individual patient conditions, but also provides neurological assessments and ultrasound examinations of the carotid arteries.

The opening ceremony provided an information gathering opportunity. At the opening ceremony of the new health center on October 15, many interested people took the opportunity to get to know Thomas Gronda personally and learn more generally about the treatment options at the health center. The range of services has recently been expanded with the establishment of a counseling service where people from the border area can learn about needs-based care options.
